                           Genelia D’Souza is a popular Indian actress. Genelia has acted over a dozen films in South Indian cinema.She left Kollywood for a while to concentrate on the Tollywood industry, starring in other successful films including, Satyam, Masti, Samba and Sye. Genelia followed it up with a pairing with popular actress Shriya in Subhash Chandra Bose. Genelia returned to the Tamil industry with the hit, Sachein with Vijay. Her film, Happy opposite Allu Arjun was a hit. Her most recent film, Bommarillu, with Siddharth Narayan, is a super hit. Chennai Kadhal, her Tamil project did average business. Genelia  was also a part of Mani Ratnam’s stage show, Netru, Indru, Naalai. Genelia has also been a part of many TV ad campaigns, the most famous ones being for Fair and Lovely, Cricket World Cup 2003 with Kris Shrikanth and Parker pens with Amitabh Bachchan.

Mission 90 Days-Mammoty join hands with Major Ravi

Mammootty has started work on his new film Mission 90 days, written and directed by Major Ravi, the former army man and the guy who made Keerthichakra, the trendsetter. The shoot of the film commenced in Kochi last week. Further schedules are being planned in Chennai and Bangalore.

Mission 90 days is loosely based on the Rajiv Gandhi assassination. Mammootty plays Major Sivaram, the special officer in charge of investigation. The story is how Major Sivaram and his team crack the case in less than 90 days, leading to the final showdown with Sivarasan and gang in Bangalore

Sanjana Sinha, a North Indian girl is also playing an important role in the film, which also has Lalu Alex, Kalabhavan Mani, Sai Kumar, Innocent, Baburaj among others. Major Ravi who has also written the script says it will be the real inside truth on the Rajiv Gandhi assassination investigation. Thiru is the cameraman of this racy thriller being made by Sasi Ainchira for Sri Utrithati films. The film is scheduled to release in the first week of July

Naadiya Kollapetta Raatri

Nadiya Kollappetta Rathri is a crime thriller by K. Madhu, which unveils the mystery behind three murders that take place on a train. Our action hero Suresh Gopi plays the lead role and he has shed weight to do the role of an investigative Railway Protection Force officer.

K.Madhu films are mainly based on police investigations, ever since he started the CBI Diary Kuruppu series in the 80’s. This A.K Sajan story is about an Indian international shooter Nadiya, who is murdered on a train which is on its inaugural run between Chennai and Mangalore. Gopi plays Sharafuddeen Taramasi IPS, an encounter specialist from the Railway Anti-Criminal Task Force.

The train which has been flagged off from Chennai to Mangalore turns out to be a disaster. A few hours after the journey begins, three girls, travelling in separate coupes, on the train are found dead. One is a dancer, the second a press reporter and the third, Naadiya (Kavya Madhavan). The initial investigations fail to unveil the mystery behind the death. That is when Sharafuddeen, takes charge of the investigation.

Camera is by Anandakuttan and the cast include Siddique, Suresh Krishna, Vijayakumar, Suja Karthika, Urmila Unni and Poornima. Nadiya Kollappetta Rathri is said to be a racy murder mystery inspired from Murder on Orient Express, the classic Agatha Christi thriller. The film is produced under the banner of Krishnakripa will be released by Dream Team.

The film stars Abhishek Bachchan, Preity Zinta, Bobby Deol and Lara Dutta. Amitabh Bachchan makes an extended guest appearance in the film.

After making successful films like ‘Saathiya’ and ‘Bunty Aur Babli’, director Shaad Ali comes up with this musical entertainer. Unlike his previous films that were set in rural India or cities, ‘Jhoom Barabar Jhoom’ is mostly set in England and France.

The movie brings Abhishek Bachchan and Bobby Deol together on the silver screen for the first time. Earlier, John Abraham was approached for the role that eventually went to Bobby.

Preity pairs with her good friend Bobby in this film after a very long gap since ‘Soldier’.

‘Jhoom Barabar Jhoom’ also has Amitabh Bachchan in a marginal role. Initially, Shaad Ali had approached Big B for a trendy sutradhaar’s song that was shot in London. Later, the superstar’s cameo was extended and he shot for the continuation of the same song that will feature at the movie’s end. The song shows Bachchan dressed in an overcoat, jeans, a black hat (with a feather) and playing a guitar.

Meticulous attention has been paid to the styling of the movie’s main actors. Abhishek will be seen sporting a different hairdo (long tresses) and sharply tweaked moustache. Even his dresses (designed by Aki Narula) are very trendy and colourful.

Bobby Deol will also don different looks in the film. Some scenes have him in straight black hair. Others have him sporting long, blondish hair. Even the film’s leading ladies, Preity and Lara, are looking stunning in the promos.

‘Jhoom Barabar Jhoom’ is produced by Aditya Chopra. The film’s music is composed by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy while lyrics are by Gulzar. Vaibhavi Merchant has done choreography for the movie’s songs.

           Nayantara will play the heroine role in the movie titled Sathyam along with Vishal. This is her third project in the Tamil movie industry along with movies with Dhanush named Yaradi Nee.

               Mohini and with Ajith named Billa. In the initial stages when the movie was announced, Trisha was to pair with Vishal but now Nayantara has been announced as the heroine of the movie. Nayantara has been making it a point that she plays in good movies that enrich her career.
