  • Aamir Khan called her personally and congratulated her on a job well done in her film, Ghajini  and expressed an interest in remaking the film in Hindi with her. Following one replacement after another, the role has been offered to her again, not finding a suitable substitute for her stellar performance in the original version. The music for the remake will be composed by maestro A.R. Rahman, replacing Harris Jeyaraj in the Tamil version.
  • She dropped out of Surya’s Sillunu Oru Kaadhal even after being offered three songs as she thought her role in the movie had not much scope. Her part went to Bhumika Chawla. She also had previously dropped out of Madhavan’s Thambi due to tight scheduling.
