Director shankar,the director of Endhiran has started blogging recently and he recently said that Endhiran will be releasing in March or April.Almost 90% of the shooting of Endhiran is over and the post production works will start soon.Shankar also have put some Endhiran photos of Rajnikanth and Aishwarya Rai in his blog.Endhiran is produced in a budget f 125 crore by Sun pictures.
Endhiran is a forthcoming science-advo -fiction in Tamil directed by S. Shankar ( his tenth feature film). Despite several rumours regarding the lead actors, Rajinikanth and Aishwarya Rai have been confirmed to the lead roles. The film is expected to cost 165-200 crores, one of the highest ever film budgets of the Indian film industry.aishwariya rai bachan had signed in the film for 6 crores, highest by any female lead in the indian film history. Actress Aishwarya Rai is taking karate lessons, as she will be part of an elaborate action sequence as action stunts are supervised by Chinese stunt coordinator Woo-ping Yuen
Release date is confirmed to be on or after 14 April 2010. The film is Produced by Kalanidhi Maran, main story written by late Sujatha Rangarajan( died while working for the film) and rest by V. Balakumaran and screenplay by S. Shankar. Danny Denzongpa is confirmed as the main villian and in the film comedians Santhanam and Karunas will also be portrayed. The Music is scored by A. R. Rahman, who become the most expensive musician by doing music in the film .Cinematography is done by R. Rathnavelu and film is edited by Anthony Gonsalves and Distributed by Sun Pictures along with Ayngaran Internationals.
The film begans shooting with poojas on 15 February 2008. Shankar and the cinematographer R. Rathnavelu went on a world tour to location-hunt. The team visited Vienna in Austria, Rio de Janeiro in Brazil and Hanoi in Vietnam, peru to pick suitable locations. The first schedule of the film was started on 8 September 2008 at Peru, where a song was picturized featuring Rajinikanth and Aishwarya Rai under the choreography of Raju Sundaram and Claudia Bruckmann, at the historic site of the Machu Picchu
and finished off in the United States and then in Brazil. the second schedule, continued in Goa, where the initial talkie portions were filmed for ten days. The third schedule for the film included shooting in Himachal Pradesh for a song and some scences in chennai soil .Scenes featuring a Robotics conference involving Rajnikanth, Aishwarya Rai, Santhanam and Karunas were carried out at SSN College of Engineering and at the Vellore Institute of Technology, with over four hundred students being used as extras.
