Priyamani is the grand daughter of Kamala Kailas a celebrated clasical singer, and daughter of Vasudeva Mani and Latha Mani. Priyamani was born in 1984 and brought up in Palakkad.In Priyamani’s school days she is a naughty girl . Priyamani loves acting, music, dance, ice creams, chocolates, puppies and kittens.
Priyamani has also modelled for Kancheepuram silks, Erode silks and Lakshmi silks. Priyamani made her entry into the film field after finishing her 12th standard.That was Bharatiraja’s ‘Kangalal Kaithi Sei’. She debuted as the heroine of this tamil film which didn’t really do well in the box office.
Priyamani’s first real hit was Balu Mahendra’s ‘Adhu Oru Kana Kaalam’.. Priyamani also acted in Malayalam and Telugu movies . Priyamani made her Telugu debut in ‘Pellaina Kothalo’ with Jagapati Babu and found her fame with this film.
