I read one’s “Katha Parayunbol”. I sorry about that. I don’t know people cried or not.But
I am sure there was no need to cry all the audience. then the same saying, victory goes to sreeniwasan.But in this case you are right; sreeniwasan is the hero in that film. Mammootty ever claimed as hero in ‘Katha parayumbol’. Then how can we blame him.And I ask one thing, are there mohanlal’s any cinema like ‘Rajamanykyam’ or ‘Chattambi nadu’,using different Slang. If he so flexible he want to be act in this way.Then cinemas like ‘Oru Vadakkan veera gatha’ and ‘Pazhassi raja’ Mohanlal allready expressed his inability. Malayalam Cinema blessed with these two actors.
I cannot say mammootty is the best in Universe.But I can surley say that
he is best in Malayala Cenema. And Mohanlal, not worst,he is second best.

laleten came malayalam cinema in 1978 & Mammuka came after 2 year(1980).laleten did only 295 films in his 31 years but mammuka did 348 films in his 29 years. because most of his films are hits&Producers are well cofident about him.
Mammuka got national award first(1989 ) laleten got after 2 years.
Mammuka got padmashsri first,laleten got after one &More years.
mammuka got 3 national award for best acter,mohanlal got only two. only Mammuka& kamalhasan got 3 national award for best acter

The question here given to answer who is best among mammootty
and mohanlal.Most of the persons expressed their feelings without any
base. they wrote something blindly like mohanlal the best in the
universe or mammootty best in the universe.There is one RISHI expressed as
mammooty as a Model. so he can not compare mohanlal with Mammooty.
After sharing the title of most winner of national award with
Kamalahasan ( 3 awards-one mr.ballu says lal won 4, i don’t know where
from he got the statistics-).Then the national award committee are
worthless because they awarded mammootty as best actor( not for best
model)
Dear Rishi, you like mohanlal a lot. but don’t use this type of tricks.
lal and Mammooty both are good actors. But Mammootty is a little better
than Lal. Because he acted different roles like varunni in Mrugaya,
Bhaskara pattelar in Vidheyan, Ponthammada, Dr. Ambedkar , Chanthu in
Vadakkan Veeraghatha,Pazhassiraja and make all the rolls differnetly.
but in the case of Mohanlal we cannot seen any transformations as the
charecter apart from the characteristics of Mohanlal. Mammootty
make the charecter different from himself.
And there is films like Chattambi nadu, Rajamanykayam he used
different slang and the slang is famous now. We expect something from
mohanlal also. he want to be proved .
In Dr. Ambedkar Mammootty dubbed himself like other language
movies. he speak the languages tamil, telungu, Kannada & Hindi as the native
persons speak.
He is dancing too…now nobody says he can’t able to handle with
comody. his police characters are highly aprciated.
By all means mammootty is better than Mohanlal.

I had seen a lot of films of Mammootty & also Mohanlal. I individually had compared both of them. I had made a conclusion that MAMMOOTTY IS THE BEST ACTOR. Because when film release, we can expect a new model, variety from Mammootty. For eg, Rajamanikyam, Kaazhcha, pazhasraja, chatambnad, bhootham, etc all the films have variety. Thats the quality of the actor. Mohanlal cant do like that. Mohanlals suitable role is by wearing Shirt&Mundu. But Mammootty can do many roles. Day by day he is going to youth. We can look to the mode of conversation in both. Look in Rajamanikyam, chatambinad, Amaram, mrugaya, bus condctr etc he made different styles of conversation. It is sure that Mohanlal cant do such a variety of dialoges in any film till the death. Who are the actors who won more national awards. There are only 2 persons. Mammootty&Kamalahasan.
Mammootty is a changing man. He is acting different roles. Mohanlal is doing the roles with MUNDU & SHIRT again & again. I am loving mammootty not bcoz of his caste,politics or religion. I am loving bcos of his ability tn act.

Dear Friends! Mohanlal Has Been Nominated For The Best Actor Category 10 Times,Highest by any other in India. But He won Best Actor award 2 Times for Bharatham and Vanaprastham , SPECIAL JURY AWARD for KIREEDAM and Producer Of Best film Vanaprastam . But It Is Very Unfare That Mohanlal Has Got Only 2 Awards for The Best Actor Category . He went to the final round in 2005 For THANMATRA but the Poor Judgement Of Jury Gave it to Amitabh Bachan . Mammootty is always the MEGASTAR of all times.
Mamootty didn’t get the three national awards for plucking flowers in
the garden but for acting in 5 of the best cinemas Indian film industry
has ever seen.These films include ‘Oru Vadakkan Veera Gatha’,and
‘Dr.Ambedkar’.I challenge that not only Mohanlal but nobody in the Indi
would dare to do these roles with the perfection that Mammootty has done it.
In Mohanlal’s films we see Mohanlal but in Mammootty’s films we see the
character being portrayed with perfection.eg Vadakkan veera gatha,Dr.Ambedkar,Amaram,Rajamanikyam,

while actign they are 1 .Bharath Gopi,Nedumudi Venu,Thilakan,Mohanlal,
and myself. Then where is Mammootty among that list. According to
Tilkan Mohanlal is the flexible actor, and the only actor who

Can Mohanlal able to do the characters done by mammootty in films like Amaram,Padeyam,mrigaya,Ponthanmada,Bhoothakannadi etc etc. definitely no. Then what you mean by flexibility??? If he is flexible, let him do such difficult charecter…then we can accept him…Acting talent is not all about body flexibility there is something more than that. Mammootty not only had Muslim fans lot other die hard fan followers for him,Proof for you is ASIAVISION survey recently held. in future some actors may do the roles in which mammooty has done
those movies you mentioned. But impossible for other actors to the roles
as mohanlal done. Can any actor in the world do the role in which

According to Thilakan,Jagady and Ganashan Mohanlal is flexible than Mammotty .But we must know that half of the filim acting is diloge,there is no one in indian cinima who is perfect as Mammootty in diloge precentation . Consider the roll of Mohanlal in Kilichundan Mambazhan so horribile the roll if he flexible what happend to that role many filims like that.Here flexibily means natuarlal acting but there is many limitations in natuaral acting because in natural acting the naturals of the actor afects the charactor a lot

Let us have a good discussion about who is best , Mammotty or lal
There is a common belif that lal is flexible actor and Mammotty is a developed actor realy it is not easy to compare these two actors
First consider Lal , he is flexible what is flexible .When an actor behaves his natural (own) behavior while acting it is natural acting it will be more flexible and no need of trials before acting .Because it is the real behavior of that actor . The main default of this type of acting is we can’t differentiate the character from the actor. Because of this reason in every Mohalala’s characters we can see only mohanlal note the character . The dialogue presentation of Mohanlal is very poor and almost same in all films because of this reason the kilichundan mambazhan role become very poor performance .It is true he is able to act comedy role and can dance which are essential for commercial films. But it is not mean that he is a flexible actor in all means. Dialogue presentation is a very important aspect of film acting because the actors must speak the slag of character in order to make perfect mohanlal is very poor in that aspect. Thilakan ,Nedumudi comes in this category they actually applying their own natural motions to the character their dialogue preventions and body movements are same in all films .Among flexible Sharuk is another super star same as Mohanlal
Second consider Mamootty he is actually makes everything in accordance with the characters’ behavior speaks the slag of character makes the body movement of the corrector . While one make to enter in to the character he will need trials for perfection. Because of this characters’ like “ Varunni’ in Mirgaya ,Fisher man in amaran basher in mathilukal ect became perfect. So mohanlal is only a behavioral and mammootty is a actor .Barath gopi is also same to mammootty in this aspect so there is only two real actors in Malayalam thay are Mammootty and Gopi in short
Mohanlal giving his natural behavior and body movements to the character so we can see only Mohanlal not the character in the screen
Mammotty makes everything in accordance with the character so we can see the characters not mammootty in the screen
