Superstar Rajinikanth is all praise for Vivek. Making an exception to his resolve to not participate in any public functions until the completion of Shivaji, Rajini attended the audio release function of Vivek starrer Solli Adippen. Speaking on the occasion Rajini described Vivek as an intelligent person who is well versed in several fields ranging from history to computers.
Appreciating Vivkek’s entertaining skills, the superstar recalled spending most of his time on the sets of Shivaji chatting with Vivek. However he had a word of caution for Vivek, “ Vivek is an intelligent person, but his intelligence should not come in the way of his development. “While Vivek should do movies as the hero, he should continue to do comedy- otherwise we will all run out of businessâ€, he jested.
Recalling his own experiences in the film industry, Rajinkanth said, “In my earlier days I used to be very anxious to get the nod of K Balachander sir for each shot. I felt the same anxiousness nearly after 30 years when acting under the direction of Shankar.â€
Turning philosophical, Rajinikanth said being at the top is like walking the tightrope carrying a rock weighing a ton. “I am careful in every step I take lest I should slip and fall down.†He also spoke about his aversion to communalism, saying “people will own you as someone from their own caste only if you have money and fame. Otherwise they will hesitate even to talk about youâ€.
Earlier K Balachander released the audio CD of the movie Solli Adippen and Rajinikanth received the first copy. Rajinikanth released the audio cassette of the movie and director Shankar received the first copy.
Producers Council chairman Ramanarayanan, directors Shankar, Dharani, Keyar, the movie’s heroine Saya Singh, Music Direcotr Deva, actor Dhanush besides Vivek were among those who attended the audio release function. The movie is being produced by Indian Theatres and is directed by Ramki.
