Surilie Gautam is the sister of well-known bollywood actress, Yami Gautam. She works as a film and television actress. Surilie was born in Lucknow to parents Mukesh Gautam and Anjali Gautam. She spent her early life in Chandigarh and her schooling was from Government Model Senior Secondary School, Sector 16 Chandigarh. Surilie is married to Jasraj Singh Bhatti, son of deceased legend of the Punjabi entertainment industry, Jaspal Bhatti. They got married in November, 2o13.

Meet Mila De Rabba
Her first break, Meet Mila De Rabba, was the story of a Punjabi family and it showed deep Punjabi culture. The plot revolved around the life of Geet, the character played by Surilie. She gets arrange married to a boy whom she has never seen before. At the wedding ceremony, the groom was hit by a bullet fired as a custom at Punjabi weddings. She gets remarried to a soldier of the Indian Army. The story takes many turns thereafter. The series was a success and Surilie’s role was appreciated by all. A total of 116 episodes were aired before the serial going off-air.
Surilie Gautam in Power Cut Movie
In her debut film, Power Cut, she was in a lead role among other Punjabi actors and actresses. The film was of romantic comedy genre and mocked power failures and corruption in Punjab. One day before the release of the film, Surilie was involved in a car crash in which Jaspal Bhatti died. Jasraj and Surilie, both were critically injured and were admitted in a private hospital in Ludhiana. The whole nation mourned the death of Jaspal Bhatti.
One day before the release of the film, Power Cut, the trio of the film, Jaspal Bhatti, Jasraj Bhatti and Surilie Gautam met with an accident near Nakodar, Punjab. They were headed to Jalandhar after attending some promotional event for their film. The film’s lead actor, Jasraj was driving at 2:30 in the night, when he lost control of the car. His father and Punjabi entertainment industry’s veteran comedian died in the crash. Surilie and Jasraj were also critically injured but survived.

A year later, Surilie and Jasraj got married. In Meet Mila De Rabba, Surilie was the protagonist, while she was only 17 back then. Her father being a director and her sister, a popular bollywood actress, it can be rightly said that acting runs in the Gautam family.
Surilie had met Jasraj on the sets of Power Cut and soon fell in love. They got engaged before the release of the film. A year after the accident, they decided to tie the knot. The wedding was a low-key affair considering that Jasraj’s father Jaspal Bhatti had died a year ago. They got married among close family and friends in Chandigarh.
