Anjali’s first acted in two low profile Telugu movies.Her first movie as a heroine is Katradhu Thamizh starring Jiva in 2007. Though the film proved to be unsuccessful at the box-office, people took notice of the homely girl.She was highly praised and was also nominated for the Film-fare Award for the Best Debut Actress in Tamil for that year. Her most succeful movie is Angadi Theru released in 2010. she won the Film-fare Award for Best Actress – Tamil for that movie.
